We are excited to share our plans for the upcoming season with you including virtual rehearsals and concerts, and collaboration with Memphis ChoralArts!
During our summer board meetings, it was decided to have completely virtual rehearsals and concerts, with hybrid in person and virtual rehearsals as an option when the number of new COVID-19 cases decreases to a safe level. If there is not enough interest in virtual, we will postpone until the Spring and see what the situation is like then. These virtual rehearsals would take place using Zoom and My Choral Coach will help guide independent practice. In order to participate, you will need headphones, and a microphone which is built into many webcams and phones. Optionally, a camera will be needed to record visuals for concerts. Your camera can be external or built into your laptop, tablet, or phone. Tutorials will be provided. Virtual concerts will be prerecorded and released online in a virtual choir format. If you have not sung with us before, rehearsals are Monday evenings at 7:00 pm. We will begin the 2020-2021 season on August 17th. Dues are set at $25 for each "semester" of the season (with the second semester beginning in January, hopefully in-person). Please click this link to answer our survey if you would like to be a part of our season! It does not matter whether you are near or far for the virtual half of our season, since everything will be online! As always, let us know if you have any questions! We'll also keep updating the website and our Facebook page with more info for both singers and our audience. |
