Hello and Welcome to the 2018-2019 season of the Germantown Community Chorus! I am so glad you have chosen to join us in making beautiful music to present to our community. We have an exciting season planned, beginning with our annual performance at the Germantown Festival in September. We will then shift our efforts toward our Fall fundraiser, our Music at Twilight event featuring the music of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber. We follow that with our traditional performance at the lighting of the Holiday Tree for the city of Germantown on November 23rd, and we wrap up our Fall “semester” with our exciting performance of “A Holiday Homecoming” on December 8th at the beautiful Germantown Performing Arts Center where we will be sharing the stage with the Germantown Symphony Orchestra. We are also thrilled this year to be joined by the Memphis ChoralArts group and the choirs of Germantown and Houston High Schools. We may be singing 100+ folks at that concert! That will be SO much fun!! So, make your plans to join us for ALL of our performances this semester and then return again in January. We will be singing another concert at GPAC in early March. More details on that to come later! I am always blessed to be leading such a wonderful group of enthusiastic, eager singers and I know that this is going to be our best season yet!! So glad to have YOU!!!
Sincerely,
Tommy Gaines, Artistic Director/Conductor
