What organizations benefit from this raffle?
The funds that remain after prizes will be split between the Germantown Community Chorus and the Houston High School choirs program. If all raffle tickets sell, Houston High School choirs will receive $1500, and the Chorus will keep the remaining $4000.
Why does Houston High School get a portion of the proceeds?
One of the goals of the Germantown Community Chorus is to foster the love of choral music and choral singing in the community. One of the best ways to do this in the current climate of de-funding the arts is to invest in our schools and children. In addition, Houston High School will be joining us once again for the Germantown Holiday Concert in December. These funds will go toward their purchase of music for this concert and more.
What will happen if some raffle tickets go unsold?
If there is the unfortunate circumstance that not all raffle tickets are purchased, all prizes will still be awarded at the stated amounts. Whatever remains after prizes will still be split between the Chorus and Houston High School choirs.
What will the Germantown Community Chorus use the raised funds for?
All monies received by the Chorus go toward operating expenses that include, but are not limited to, director and accompanist salaries, purchasing sheet music, venue rental fees, and printing costs.
